ABOUT THE CREATORS:

Lori LoCicero is a freelance writer and the co-creator of The Death Deck. A creative storyteller and eternal optimist, Lori combines her personal stories of loss with her innate sense of humor to write about life and talk about death. Her upcoming memoir offers readers an intimate look at loss and her discovery of post-traumatic growth and was the catalyst for the creation of The Death Deck.

Lisa Pahl is a Hospice Social Worker, ER Crisis Interventionist, and co-creator of The Death Deck. Lisa has witnessed hundreds of deaths which have taught her innumerable lessons about truly appreciating life. Lisa’s goal is to help people cope with illness, dying, and grief. With a passionate belief that peace at the end begins with meaningful conversations over time, she engages people in talking about and preparing for this difficult stage of life.

HOW TO PLAY:

1. Gather Your Family & Friends

You like each other already, so this part should be pretty easy.

2. Open The Deck

We suggest you read the instructions first but feel free to jump right in or create your own unique way to play.

3. Play The Game

You’ll find out things about your friends and loved ones that you never knew. You might even discover some things about yourself.

4.  Learn Something Very Important

We never seem to make the time to talk to each other about the important stuff…like our final wishes. It’s tough subject matter, we know, but by playing The Death Deck you’ll open these discussions and realize it’s not that scary after all.
